In just about two years of online business operations in Jamaica, the St Ann-based Clickmarket Online has emerged as a leading locally-owned business of its sort.
And after introducing online back-to-school shopping in Jamaica last year, Clickmarket Online is this year offering increased benefits to its online customers, such as free delivery, 10 per cent discount on books, two months interest-free loans for back-to-school shopping, and a chance to qualify for a $50,000 scholarship.
Managing director, Vivienne Reynolds, explained that last year’s experience has prepared the company to increase customer focus and offer better service this year.
As the back-to-school period approaches, the main focus, she pointed out, is fulfilling booklist requests for students going to school in September.
BIGGEST ADVANTAGES
“Last year, we had a challenge with some of the retailers getting their supplies late. This year, that has changed so we have been speaking to our customers earlier and they have been able to fulfil their booklists a lot quicker,” Reynolds explained.
“In addition to that, we are offering a 10 per cent discount on the books; also free delivery. One of the biggest advantages of that is for persons like me who don’t have the time to go stand in the bookstore, Clickmarket offers them a one-stop shopping area. Just go online, put in their books in two minutes, then sit back and relax. In two days the items will be delivered, sometimes even faster, depending on how quickly the retailer responds. Of course, we deliver anywhere in Jamaica.”
The 10 per cent offer expires August 31.
Meanwhile, marketing and development manager, Tina Esty, said Clickmarket Online customers are able to access loans to purchase books and back-to- school extras at Clickmarket Online, and may also qualify for a $50,000 scholarship.
Customers are required to submit their booklist and fill out a loan application form. Approval and delivery of items will be done in two days. Once the amount spent reaches $5,000, customers will become eligible for a chance to win a scholarship valued at $50,000 cash.
“Shoppers don’t have to worry about the hassle of going all over to get everything, just send the booklist to us and we’ll do all the work for them,” Esty said.
Outside of school supplies, Esty explained that Clickmarket Online offers online shopping for a wide range of products including groceries, electronics such as computers and accessories, cell phones, appliances, furniture, clothing, jewellery, shoes and other items.
Customers may pay via credit card, debit card, and C-Pay, which is Clickmarket Online’s own payment gateway, similar to PayPal.
